Curing Blindness, One Patient at a Time
“I always wanted to make the world a better place. So, for many
years, I practiced medicine with the best doctors at one of the
biggest institutions. There, we worked tirelessly to develop new
treatments and train the next generation of doctors. We tackled the
most important eye diseases. We even had a mantra “curing blindness
1 million patients at a time.” What I missed during all of those
years was the one patient, the individualized treatment plan that
was the exception to the rule, and the connection to the community
that comes from caring for families. I am eager to earn your trust
as we work together to cure your eye condition and to show you that
you are so much more than a component of the population.”
